Avril Lavigne and Mod Sun have called it quits and are no longer engaged.
The “Sk8er Boi” singer, 38, was the one who called off the engagement, her reps confirmed to Page Six on Tuesday.
However, the split appears to come to a surprise to Mod Sun, 35,
“They were together and engaged as of three days ago when he left for tour so if anything has changed that’s news to him,” his reps told TMZ.
The former couple reportedly had been having issues in recent months, forcing them to break up and make up a few times, before finally ending the relationship for good.
According to the outlet, cheating was not a cause for the split. Page Six has also reached out to reps for Mod Sun for comment.

Lavigne and Mod Sun appeared to be amicable as of Tuesday afternoon – as they both still follow each other on social media.
The news comes just days after Lavigne was spotted getting cozy with rapper Tyga at Nobu in Malibu, Calif., over the weekend.
In paparazzi pics, the “Complicated” singer could be seen hugging the “Rack City” rapper, 33, which sparked speculation about her relationship status with Mod Sun.
Sources told TMZ at the time that Lavigne and Tyga had been hanging out together a lot lately, but it was unclear if they were dating.
The timing of when Lavigne decided to pull the plug on her relationship with Mod Sun is unknown.
The “My Happy Ending” singer and “Flames” rapper got engaged in Paris in April 2022 after dating for more than a year.
“Yes! I love you forever 💍🥂 Sunday March 27, 2022,” Lavigne captioned a post from the proposal at the time, while Mod Sun added in the comments, “love u so much! Forever n ever my angel.”
