Car accident derails UTA’s Barry’s Bootcamp Sundance pop-up

PARK CITY, Utah — United Talent Agency’s Sundance Film Festival pop-up with Barry’s Bootcamp was derailed Friday morning when one of its shuttles skidded out of control and crashed into a snow bank, Page Six can exclusively reveal.

The Cadillac Escalade, which was provided by UTA from an outside rental company, was making its way down an icy road when it started to fishtail and eventually crashed the entire left side of the vehicle into an icy bank, sources said.

“Everyone is OK, but it was really scary,” one source says. “I’m not sure if the car had the right tires for the snow. The driver was scared, too.”

Another adds, “I don’t think he knew how to drive in the snow.”

The SUV, miraculously, sustained minimal damage.

A UTA spokesperson confirmed that the driver of that vehicle, who was working for a contracted car service, is no longer driving on behalf of UTA.

We’re told another UTA shuttle van picked up the six women left stranded following the crash shortly thereafter and brought them safely to the Hollywood talent agency’s house where the 30-minute class proceeded as normal.

“I’m so sorry for what happened!” a Barry’s employee told the group upon their arrival.

A rep for Barry’s referred us to UTA.

The agency will continue to offer Barry’s workout classes throughout Saturday.

The pop-up appeared to be a hot commodity in Park City, as a source told us a CAA agent — a huge competitor for UTA — attended the class despite the risk.
