Fans seemed to believe that Justin Bieber shaded his ex, Selena Gomez, amid her online feud with his wife, Hailey Bieber.
Over the weekend, photos surfaced of an alleged party favor that attendees at Justin’s 29th birthday received with an inscription that read, “I’m so thankful that I didn’t end up with what I thought I wanted.”
However, a source exclusively tells Page Six that the object containing the inscription was actually a gift given to Justin — not a party favor.
The source added that the inscription is not about the drama between Hailey and Gomez.
“It’s not what people want it to be around,” the source said.
The circulating photos initially spurred anger from several netizens who believed the inscription was a direct hit at Gomez, 30.
“Very immature and this just show [sic] that his [sic] not over Selena
, has to have a trinket with engraving to remind him that he doesn’t love her! BUT HE DOES LOVE SELENA!” one person wrote on Facebook while reacting to an article about the party favor.
“Why are Hailey & Justin so obsessed with dissing Selena? The married couple definitely are NOT as happy as they claim, if they’ve gotta keep throwing shade at his ex 
,” a second person wrote.
“Seems he’s never learned how to grow up, still an immature little momma’s boy, really think Selena’s the one that had the lucky escape there,” a third commented.
“Mastermind hailey is behind that…..she is very Cunning fox ..she know [sic] how to make someone put under her…example JB,” said another.

However, others disagreed, writing that the inscription could be about anything and there is no proof they target Gomez.
“People are just grasping at straws here. This is all so petty I can’t believe people are entertaining it,” one person wrote.
“When I saw the phrase on the pin, I was thinking he meant him being an addict and blinded by all those stuff before. Dont know why people keep on including Selena in every move he makes,” a second agreed.
The questionable knickknack is just another piece of drama in the bubbling feud between the model, 26, and the “Same Old Love” singer.
While their beef dates back to 2018 when Justin and Hailey got engaged just months after ending things for good with Gomez, the two women seemed to have made peace when they posed for a photo together at a gala last year.
In September, Hailey even shared that she has nothing but respect for the “Only Murders In The Building” actress and denied stealing Justin from her.
But all signs of a reconciliation between them were thrown out the window when Hailey posted a since-deleted TikTok video that seemingly shaded Gomez. Shortly after that, she and her pal Kylie Jenner were accused of making fun of Gomez’s eyebrows on Instagram.
Hailey denied that the posts were about the “Wolves” artist, but shortly after, Gomez announced that she was taking a break from social media. Gomez subsequently became the most-followed woman on Instagram after Jenner lost a million followers over the drama.
The Rhode Skin founder was mercilessly trolled on her birthday post to her husband last week, with many commenting “#TeamSelena.”
Meanwhile, the “Peaches” singer canceled his remaining “Justice World Tour” dates following health concerns last week.
Gomez hasn’t directly commented on her ongoing feud with Hailey but did take to TikTok on Sunday to share that her heart has been heavy.
“Please, please be kinder,” she told her fans, adding in the comments section to “consider others [sic] mental health” in a now-deleted comment.
“Thank you and love you all so much,” she wrote. “I’m deeply grateful for each and every one of you humans. You make me unbelievably happy.
Reps for Justin, Hailey, and Gomez did not immediately respond to our request for comment.
