Ireland Baldwin details mental, physical ‘warfare’ of pregnancy

Ireland Baldwin is keeping it all the way real about her pregnancy.

The model, 27, took to Instagram Wednesday to give her followers a very honest and detailed update on her experience, likening the various mental and physical changes to “warfare.”

“I underestimated just how hard pregnancy would be on my mind and my body,” she admitted, identifying herself as someone who already “deals with extreme health anxiety on a daily basis.”

Baldwin — who announced she was expecting her first child with musician RAC (real name: André Allen Anjos), on New Year’s Eve — said she has “struggled to adapt” to all the new “bodily sensations,” including “pains and aches” and “organs going to s–t randomly.”

She added that it’s “unrealistic” to be “glowing and angelic and in a constant state of bliss,” referring to herself as a “goblin,” “bridge troll” and “curmudgeon” who is “vomiting 6x a day.”

Aside from the “physical aspect,” the eldest daughter of Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger feels like her “brain and thoughts are going to war every single day,” describing the sensation as “mental warfare.”

“‘Just wait till the baby gets here, you won’t be getting any sleep,’” she mimicked being told. “Bitch, I don’t sleep now. SHUT UP. I’m exhausted. I’m unmotivated. I feel like life is passing by and my career hasn’t even begun.”

Ireland added that she “would have lost [her] mind” if it wasn’t for the support of RAC, 37.

“He’s everything and more to me,” she gushed. However, she admitted that it’s been difficult being away from most of her loved ones.

“It’s hard not being really close to family to begin with because they live far or are idiots that I want nothing to do with,” she wrote. “It’s hard seeing other people go through this and have their parents close by.”

Socially, Ireland admitted that she feels “alone,” especially when she scrolls social media and sees “mutuals dressing up for events, getting drinks, working on sets, going to school.”

“It’s even harder watching some of your friends fade away or not know how to relate to you anymore,” she went on. “Especially when you were nothing to them but a drinking buddy and a good time.”

The model added, “It’s hard when your closest friends have their own s–t going on and you don’t know when’s a good time to emotionally dump on them.”

Though she is “grateful” but “struggling,” Ireland is “not writing this post for sympathy,” but rather “with the hope that someone will read this and feel less alone.”

“This s–t is HARD,” she repeated numerous times, including in her caption, before reminding her fans that “it’s ok to be REAL and post highlight reels” and “ok to be happy and sad at the same time.”

She also made sure to note that “none of this reflects on how excited [she is] to be her mom.”

Earlier this month, Ireland revealed she was having a baby girl. She cheekily debuted her “nonexistent” baby bump last week.

Her stepmother, Hilaria Baldwin, 39 — who shares seven children under the age of 10 with Alec, 64 — “can’t wait to meet the little babe.”
