Mary Fitzgerald was concerned about the extra drama Nick Cannon’s baby mama Bre Tiesi would bring to the new season of “Selling Sunset.”
“I was a little worried when she first came,” Fitzgerald told Design Scene in an interview published Tuesday. “I was like, ‘I can’t do any more drama…Please don’t give me more drama.’”
The 41-year-old real estate agent teased that the upcoming season, which will drop in TK on Netflix, will have a “very interesting dynamic” now that Tiesi has been brought on board.
Fitzgerald’s husband, Romain Bonnet, who was in the interview with Fitzgerald, added that despite the apprehension, Tiesi ended up being “nice.”
“Yeah, I like her a lot,” Fitzgerald said.
Fitzgerald seemed more enthusiastic about new cast member Nicole Young joining the real estate reality show.
“One of them has been a friend for a very long time and she’s been an agent with Oppenheim also for a while,” Fitzgerald explained.
Young previously told People that she was “originally … part of the main cast” of the show before getting “cold feet.”
Fitzgerald has been a permanent cast member of “Selling Sunset” since the show’s premiere season in 2019.
But in August 2022, Tiesi announced that she would be joining the series for Seasons 6 and 7.
“As amazing as modeling was as an industry for me, I was just kind of over it,” Tiesi, 31, told People of being hired by the Oppenheim Group.
She added, “I work 24 hours a day. I love to work and I don’t care if I have to stay up 24 hours a day. I definitely feel no pressure to prove myself whatsoever.”
