It’s business as usual for the Waleses.
Prince William and Kate Middleton made a sartorial show of unity today as they officially opened a new hospital in matching navy-and-green outfits two days after Prince Harry’s bombshell memoir, “Spare,” hit shelves.
Arriving at Royal Liverpool University Hospital in Liverpool, England, the pair coordinated down to their waves as they smiled broadly at photographers waiting outside the state-of-the-art building, which replaced a four-decades-old hospital.
She also owns the long wool dress with blouson sleeves in black, a piece she was seen wearing while driving out of Windsor Castle following the death of Queen Elizabeth II in September last year.
As for her stylish coat, Middleton has worn it twice so far, sporting it in photos released from a tree-planting event at Westminster Abbey last month as well as during a November 2021 video for the Royal British Legion.
She kept the color scheme going with her Mulberry Small Amberley Bag ($1,035) in green, her navy Gianvito Rossi Suede Pumps ($508) and her often-worn sapphire-and-diamond drop earrings, accessorizing her dress with a navy leather belt.
Meanwhile, Prince William matched with his wife, wearing navy trousers and a matching blazer along with a green sweater layered on top of a dress shirt.
During the visit, the couple visited with staff and patients, including some of the team members Prince William met on a video call in 2020.
This marks the Waleses’ first public appearance since Christmas, coming after the highly publicized release of Prince Harry’s bombshell book — and despite looking in high spirits today, royal sources told Page Six the couple was reeling from what the duke said about them in the tome.
Tom Bower, author of “Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors,” revealed that the Princess of Wales was “outraged and hurt” upon reading the revelations in the book, while royal biographer Katie Nicholl said William was “privately seething and devastated by what Harry has done.”
No matter what’s going on behind closed doors, the couple is getting on with their royal work — and doing so in style.
